Chris Cox has been an active Republican all his life and believes deeply in old fashioned Republican Conservatism and he makes no apologies for this stance. He believes these old conservative values are what will make this country great again.
Chris Cox is the grandson of the former president of the United States Richard Nixon. Many opponents have tried to use the Richard Nixon angle to damage Chris Cox but rather than running from the issue Chris embraces it. Although he never talked politics with his grandfather he is very proud of him. Critics are grasping at straws if this is what they attack him for.
Chris has some knowledge of how campaigns are run as he was an executive director in 2008 for the New York campaign of John McCain. So he knows his way around a campaign which should stand him in good stead.
Chris brings some real world experience to his political campaign as well as a strong academic background. Chris comes from a deeply political family and has been interested in politics from an early age. He was born and lives in New York and his family have lived in Long Island for well over a century and Chris is keeping this long tradition alive.
Chris has a wide ranging vision thanks to his experience in business and his education. Chris has a breadth of education that has helped him succeed in business, help people and will ultimately help serve his community. He gained his undergraduate degree from Princeton and then went to New York University and gained a certificate in Finance from Stern business school. Chris did not stop there he carried on at New York University and gained a law degree which he later put to good use. When Chris became a member of the Bar Association he began practicing law on a pro bono basis so that he could help small business owners. So when Chris states he is committed to helping American small businesses this is not a convenient political statement. It’s an intention that is genuine and an intention that will have actions to back up those words.
As well as the legal work Chris is also a successful business person. His co founded a consulting firm that helps American companies to break in to markets overseas and he knows how to communicate. This involves telling them how to market and integrate in to the foreign markets. Importantly the focus is on American companies growing their businesses in America and providing employment here in America. Long before Chris ran for office he was practicing what he believes in just like the famous dui laws attorney. Chris is a fiscal conservative who believes strongly in conservative values of fighting to lower taxes and promote the interests of the American business. Chris is opposed to the relocation of Guantanamo Bay to US mainland, he would be happy to see them struggle I bet rather than come to some commercial prison where they have TV’s. He believes that doing so would compromise the safety of American citizens especially if there were trials in US cities. Chris believes terrorists should be tried by Military courts and should not be given the rights of US citizens or other legitimate soldiers. Chris believes there should not me a mandated deadline for withdrawal from Afghanistan, withdrawal should be at the right time rather than a predetermined date. Chris also takes a pro Israel stance and is against the terrorism used by the Palestinians. Border control with Mexico should be strengthened to stop the flood of drugs and illegal immigrants in to our country both of which pose a significant threat to this country. Chris has been endorsed by some of the biggest names in Long Island and also on a national level by people like Jed Bush. Jed Bush stated Chris was a leader with fresh ideas which is surely what this country needs in its time of crisis. Jed also notes Chris’ creativity along with his common sense approach. Like Chris Jed Bush is a firm advocate that spending is not the way out of the current financial crisis and he recognises that Chris will create jobs for his constituents and reduce their taxes. Like Jed Bush we believe Chris Cox is the right man for congress.
